The controversy over The Weeknd’s failure to receive a single nomination in this year’s GRAMMY Awards has threatened to overshadow the nominations. His fans around the world believe his song *Blinding Lights* was the best contender for the Record of the Year category if not win it but the song was not nominated, or for song of the year , best sole Pop performance or other categories in which it was entered.
